Every year, about 12.7 million individuals worldwide are diagnosed with cancer as per the statistics. There were times where cancer once detected used to be the end of the life but today, can be cured with a ray of hope. Fight against cancer starts by knowing “You are not alone”. The emphasis of treatment has shifted from prolonging life to quality of life. Dr. T. Mahathi is specialized in medical oncology and treats numerous patients daily. Her knowledge and expertise span a vast area in treating the cancer. She has completed her MBBS from Kurnool Medical college, after which she attained her M.D.(General Medicine) from NIMS, Hyderabad. With an ocean deep thirst to excel in oncology, Dr.Mahathi completed her DNB SS Medical Oncology from the reputed Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore. She has had great exposure to the latest therapeutics- be it immunotherapy, CDK4/6, PI3KCA inh, TDM1, TKI’S in NSCLC, and also Auto ASCT –Myeloma and Lymphoma.
